Reimagining Business: NGS Films and Graphics Aids from Concept to Completion Nationwide
Managing partners James Beale and Patrick Coyle began NGS Films and Graphics with a big idea and a basic foundation: customers deserve choices.
With years of window film installation experience, the two entrepreneurs recognized the industry was fragmented – made up of small companies that only serviced specific areas. This meant that customers with multiple locations across different markets had to contract with different window film companies and deal with price distortion. National companies also had difficulty finding a continuity in supply to meet their specifications.
Beale and Coyle wanted to fix that and provide a one-stop, full-service shop that could service a national company no matter where it had locations. They also knew they wanted to provide choices – from solar window film, architectural design film, security film, printed graphics, signage and more.
“We set out to break that original model,” Beale said. In 2009, NGS Films and Graphics (also known as National Glazing Solutions, LLC) was born. The company provides design, project management, production, installation and more for a variety of industries, including retail, hospitality, healthcare and more. The company is now among the top window film companies in the nation.
In 2011, NGS Films and Graphics began working with architectural and design finishes. As a leading 3M™ Authorized Dealer, NGS Films and Graphics has offices strategically placed throughout the lower 48 states and works with architects, general contractors, designers and company c-suite executives. “We can assist with developing project specs to installation,” Beale said. “We pair our customers with their own project manager, who sees the project through concept to completion. This high level of customer service is important to us and we want to make sure our customers know that we are accountable to their needs.”
The company was named one of the fastest growing companies by Inc. 5000 in 2016, 2017 and 2018. It was listed as the No. 1 commercial window film company in the United States by Window Film Magazine in 2013 and in 2017, and the company received the 2019 Top Window Film Dealer award from Window Film Magazine. 3M recognized NGS Films and Graphics as the Dealer of the Year for Large Markets in America in 2019 and 3M Southeast Dealer of the Year in 2018.
Beale said design film projects are the most enjoyable aspect of running NGS Films and Graphics. “It is why they say carpenters have the most fulfilling job; you can see what is built,” he said. “It’s such as easy, low cost way to make a space look like a million dollars.”
